Required Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail with precision.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • 0 to 2 years of relevant experience
  • MBA in Finance would be preferred.
  • Knowledge of Sales Tax (VAT & Use Tax) would be preferred.
  • Experience of tracking tools like Salesforce & Atlassian Jira
  • Position requires oral and written communication with external customers and collaboration with internal contacts. Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and gets clarification; responding client queries.

Job Description:

  • Prepare and file Sales & Use tax returns and payments accurately and timely as required by taxing jurisdictions to ensure all return filing deadlines are achieved.
  • Should have understanding on state rules and regulations.
  • High standards for accuracy to be maintained in line with standard Operating Procedures to avoid causing Penalty and Interest to the client.
  • Ability to meet the SLA's and ensuring accurate and timely registration.
  • Communicate to manager ongoing status and challenges or blockers if any.
  • Stay abreast of all the updates & trends, support overall production/accuracy goals.
  • Find and implement opportunities for process improvement and build efficiency.
  • Working with the team to plan and prepare monthly/quarterly/semi-annual/annual filings.
  • Serve as front line contact for external customers by answering emails and client calls.
  • Assist internal groups with technical issues and inquiries.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely and maintain accurate and timely records in systems.
  • Be open to accept additional responsibilities assigned to meet the deadlines
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Ability to adhere and deliver as per timelines of various government authorities as per various data formats.
  • Flexible to extend working hours, working on weekends and holidays as may be required to complete the filings requirements.
