Works throughout the software development life cycle and performs in a utility capacity to create, design, code, debug, maintain, test, implement and validate applications with a broad understanding of a variety of languages and architectures.  Analyzes existing applications or formulate logic for new applications, procedures, flowcharting, coding and debugging programs.  Maintains and utilizes application and programming documents in the development of code.  Recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards.  Creates appropriate deliverables and develops application implementation plans throughout the life cycle in a flexible development environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Ability to think logically/analytically, understand business need.

• Adheres to department practices, standards, policies, procedures, and methodologies.
• Applies technical knowledge and skills necessary to complete and document moderately complex tasks.
• Understands the application/area as it relates to assigned projects/tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

• MCA, B.Tech or B.E (four year college degree) or equivalent
• 1-4 years of experience in IBM Mainframe, DB2\ IMS, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, TSO/ISPF
• Working experience in IBM File Manager, Debug Tool, CA7/11,  Endevor
• Understanding of complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) L2/L3
• Production Support experience – Abend fix, Batch Cycle Monitoring,
• Coordination with mainframe Ops, On-call Support Worked on mainframe development and enhancement projects
• Willing to work on 24x7 project including night shift.
• Flexible to work on weekends & holidays.
