Roles and Responsibilities

As an Associate Software Engineer I, you will be part of the Anthology Ally Engineering Team — the group behind a groundbreaking product that enhances digital accessibility for educational content. Your work will help institutions worldwide make learning more inclusive and sustainable.

You will:

• Design, develop, and maintain new features for the Anthology Ally product.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in software and product development.
• Write clean, efficient code using Scala (backend) and JavaScript (frontend).
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications hosted on AWS Cloud.
• Use Git for version control and collaborate with distributed global teams.
• This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on meaningful projects that make a positive impact on education accessibility worldwide.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong frontend development skills in Angular / TypeScript.
• Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures.
• Backend programming experience (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.).
• Knowledge of relational database design and SQL queries.
• Problem-solving mindset and willingness to experiment.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
