Responsibilities
As
an Associate Software Engineer I, you will be part of the Anthology Ally
Engineering Team — the group behind a groundbreaking product that enhances digital
accessibility for educational content. Your work will help institutions
worldwide make learning more inclusive and sustainable.
You will:
- Design, develop, and maintain new features for the Anthology Ally product.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in software and product development.
- Write clean, efficient code using Scala (backend) and JavaScript (frontend).
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain applications hosted on AWS Cloud.
- Use Git for version control and collaborate with distributed global teams.
- This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on meaningful projects that make a positive impact on education accessibility worldwide.
Required
Skills & Qualifications
- 0–2 years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong frontend development skills in Angular / TypeScript.
- Familiarity with the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Understanding of distributed systems and scalable architectures.
- Backend programming experience (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.).
- Knowledge of relational database design and SQL queries.
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to experiment.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
