Roles and Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts, logs, and events using SIEM tools like Splunk.
• Detect and contain cyber incidents with prompt remediation actions.
• Review intrusion attempts and perform log correlation from firewalls, proxies, and EDR tools.
• Follow standard operating procedures for reporting and documenting incidents.
• Conduct L1 analysis of alerts to identify false positives and validate potential threats.
• Communicate findings with internal security, network, and engineering teams.
• Maintain detailed documentation of incident investigations and recovery procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in SOC operations, incident response, or cyber forensics.
• Proficiency with Splunk SIEM and analysis of network traffic.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and Active Directory.
• Knowledge of malware types and exploitation techniques.
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS systems, web application firewalls, and host-based monitoring tools.
