About the Role – Associate Data Engineer (Machine Learning)

As an Associate Data Engineer, you will work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and software developers to design, implement, and maintain data pipelines that power United Airlines’ next-generation digital systems. The position involves leveraging Big Data and cloud platforms like AWS, Redshift, Spark, and Lambda to build scalable and reliable machine learning data pipelines that support analytics and operational excellence across the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and process data from multiple sources using Big Data and AWS technologies (Glue, S3, Athena, Lambda, Spark, Redshift).
• Integrate data from diverse sources, including cloud databases, APIs, and on-prem systems.
• Evaluate business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and implement data solutions aligned with business goals.
• Enhance data quality and reliability by implementing frameworks such as Deequ for monitoring and validation.
• Conduct data analysis and performance assessments to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency, scalability, and security in data architecture.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Experience: 0–1 year (Freshers can apply).
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and AWS tools preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and Hindi (written and spoken).
• Must be legally authorized to work in India without sponsorship.
• Reliable and punctual work ethic is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in data engineering, AI, or machine learning projects.
• Knowledge of GenAI, AWS Cloud (Glue, Redshift, Lambda), and Apache Spark.
