Required Qualifications:

• A computer science/engineering degree or equivalent demonstrable experience in writing software applications
• Knowledge of modern programming languages (Any of Python, Javascript, Java)
• Appetite to learn language frameworks to build large-scale applications
• An understanding of microservice architecture
• Understanding of databases and ability to read and write SQL
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
• Real passion for collaboration in remote worlds, strong interpersonal skills
• A willingness to accept failure, learn and try again

Skills Required:

• Familiarity or practical experience with containers such as Docker and Docker-compose
• Completed projects and/or assignments in React, Typescript
• Familiarity and aptitude for working with machine learning UX approaches and applications to common business problems

Job Description:

Atlassian is looking for a passionate and talented Associate Software Engineer to join our growing Data Science and Analytics team within Customer Support Services. You'll be responsible for writing code and building applications that enable our Support Engineers and related teams to be more effective and efficient at helping our customers.

You are suitable for the position if you are passionate about learning new tools and technologies to build data science and ML-driven solutions. You will be required to use your knowledge and skills to understand existing code bases and enhance the feature set by following design and requirements documents.

Responsibilities:

• Apply your knowledge and skills in building, testing, and maintaining high-quality microservices
• Collaborate closely with senior team members to learn about existing services and enhance the features with supervision
• Get involved in a variety of tasks, including feature enhancement, maintenance, innovation, and developing proof of concepts
• Be responsible for monitoring the technical performance of systems owned by your team
