Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must be India payroll experienced (At least 2 years)
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Experience in managing multiple customers in a payroll/ HR.
  • Tenacious, organized, and customer-focused approach.
  • Ability to develop a team of people i.e., share knowledge and expertise with colleagues and customers, coaching, development, ad hoc training.
  • Demonstrable customer service skill
  • Well-versed in understanding the client, data management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional fluency in the English language is essential, both written and oral
  • Passion for service excellence
  • Setting high standards for quality
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Analytically minded with strong attention to detail
  • Accuracy with record keeping and reconciliation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced pressurized environment.
  • Follow procedures and policies and keeps to schedule.
  • Payroll/HR/Finance/Systems background with an understanding of the core competencies of the payroll process i.e., Unity, CHRIS, Arthur and Specific
  • Strong excel skills, advanced level advantageous.

Job Description:

  • Establish, maintain, and develop strong and trusted client relationships that result in high client satisfaction, acting as a primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients.
  • Process end to end India payroll and compliance on a monthly basis
  • Answering general payroll inquiries, including advice on awards, policies etc.
  • Working closely with Client & Local Compliance partner
  • Collecting, calculating, and entering data to maintain and update payroll information.
  • Compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and non-taxable wages and reporting on for country specific payrolls
  • Ensuring accurate payroll transactions and payments
  • Preparation and payment of all State and Federal tax obligations including Payroll tax, must be aware of Country specific nuances.
  • Preparation and timely delivery of pay slips and annual payment summaries.
  • Maintaining payroll operations by following policies and procedures
  • Preparation and timely delivery of pay slips and annual payment summaries.
  • Determining payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income, social security taxes, employer's social security, unemployment, and workers’ compensation payments, applicable as per the country payrolls.
  • To ensure timely receipt and delivery of payroll data by payroll schedule.
  • Engagement with local in-country payroll providers to meet delivery timelines while minimizing escalations.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate submission of all payroll data to required partners and/or clients.
  • Responsible for on-time receipt and delivery of net pay and payroll reports in line with agreed-upon payroll schedules
  • Ensure reconciliation and validation of data according to predefined payroll processing procedures and standards.
  • Managing inquiries from clients, internal regional service centres, and local offices via our case management tool, ensuring full resolution in line with company Service Level Agreements.
  • Develop and drive action plans and root cause analysis reports for issues, as required.
  • Participate in the development of processes and procedures for the team following customer and business requirements.
  • Detailed focus on quality, accuracy, and timeliness of payroll-related activities as assigned.
  • Adhere to SSAE16 compliance audit controls and requirements.
  • Additional duties as required.
