As an Embedded Software Engineer in the Systems Integration Group (SIG), you will help create software for internal equipment used across Assembly & Test organization in one of the world’s largest semiconductor companies. Working in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment you will work with a global team creating software for a variety of internal equipment. They are looking for engineers who are hands-on, self-motivated, excited to learn, and grow individually and as a team. You will create software that interfaces to various hardware in bare metal, and Linux environments. You will work with other software engineers and other engineering disciplines to create and support this custom equipment from the ground up.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent with strong background embedded systems.
Minimum

Responsibilities:
Our
embedded software engineers are challenged daily with a wide range of
challenges and responsibilities. Typical tasks include:
- Working in cross-disciplinary design teams involving software, electrical, controls, and mechanical engineers designing new equipment to meet customer needs.
- Developing embedded and interface software, providing input to schematic design, reviewing PCB layouts, prototyping circuits, debugging analog and digital hardware, automating testing, developing user libraries to control hardware, and creating documentation.
- Desire to understand, debug, and fix issues spanning layers of software, and PCB hardware.
- Coding primarily in C, C++, and Python under Linux for various microcontrollers and computing modules acting as the interface to custom hardware.
- Work closely with globally located software, electrical, mechanical, and control engineers in the design and development of next-generation memory testers
- As a senior member of the embedded development team, it is essential to have the ability to drive multiple projects and provide direction for the team both technically and in management.
- Implement solutions that eliminate or minimize technical debt through a well-designed architecture and lifecycle.
- Maintain and track internal and external SIG projects roadmaps and timelines.
