A top-class desktop support engineer provides fast and effective support for clients experiencing basic hardware and software issues. To ensure success as a desktop support engineer, you should have extensive knowledge of home and office systems, good problem-solving skills, and high-level interpersonal skills. Communicate the business impact of major incidents and prioritize based on business impact to the client. Assess the impact of changes to systems, applications and infrastructure to determine requirements. Configure and solve - DHCP, DNS, various network devices and services. This is a hands-on role where significant participation and escalated support activities are expected including highly technical problem solving and Supporting day-day operations of Server environment. Which includes proactive monitoring and management of the systems and utilize available monitoring tools. Escalate Issues to software vendor specific for Technical Support. key responsibilities: Act as the central communication point for Design, Maintain and Communicate the service support plans in IT Team.

Educational Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing basic training in computer operation and management
  • Advising on software or hardware upgrades
  • Troubleshooting networking and connection issues
  • Installing and upgrading operating systems and computer software
  • Installing and maintaining hardware and computer peripherals
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Traveling to the client’s location or connecting via a remote link
  • Contacting clients to find out the nature of the problem
  • Responding to client support requests.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to travel and work after hours when necessary
  • Ability to solve complex hardware and software issues
  • Knowledge of popular operating systems, software applications, and remote connection systems
  • Advanced knowledge of computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules, and peripherals.
