Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance to ensure data and AI/ML initiatives comply with internal standards and regulatory obligations.
• Track and implement data governance frameworks, including risk policies and mitigation protocols.
• Conduct impact analysis, prioritization, and triaging of use cases for accuracy and documentation.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to governance and prepare monthly compliance reports.
• Perform regulatory change impact analysis and coordinate remediation actions.
• Collaborate with other business units on cross-functional data governance projects.
• Review and enhance existing governance models for improved transparency and accountability.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to share best practices, address risks, and close governance gaps.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in AI/ML lifecycle management, data governance, or risk assessment.
• Prior experience in the Office of the Chief Data Officer (CDO) within the BFSI industry.
• Ability to educate and influence stakeholders on governance principles and data compliance.
• Strong understanding of governance risk assessment for AI and data use cases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate governance risks to CXO-level leaders.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and the EU AI Act.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Data Governance, Data Quality, and Data Protection practices.
• Experience working with AWS, SQL, Python, and other data tools.
• Exposure to AI platforms such as Azure AI or AWS SageMaker.
• Experience implementing AI and data use cases in regulated environments.
