Roles and Responsibilities

• Monitoring & Analysis
• Continuously monitor security alerts and events using SIEM and monitoring tools.
• Analyze logs from firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoints, and network devices to identify suspicious behavior.
• Detect and escalate potential security incidents as per SOC procedures.
• Incident Response
• Assist with triage, containment, and remediation of cybersecurity incidents.
• Document incidents and actions taken for audit and reporting purposes.
• Support root cause analysis and improvements in incident response planning.
• Threat Intelligence
• Stay updated on emerging vulnerabilities, exploits, and attack methods.
• Work with the cybersecurity team to incorporate threat intelligence insights into monitoring workflows.
• Reporting & Documentation
• Maintain incident logs and detailed case documentation.
• Prepare periodic reports on SOC performance, trends, and notable events.
• Compliance & Best Practices
• Comply with industry security standards and company policies.
• Contribute to the enhancement of SOC playbooks, procedures, and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 0–1 Years
• Qualification: Bachelor’s degree
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals—including networking, malware, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools such as Splunk, IBM QRadar, or Microsoft Sentinel.
• Basic knowledge of frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving capability.
• Ability to remain calm and take quick decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Willingness to work night shifts and operate in a 24x7 SOC environment.
