Roles and
Responsibilities
1. Ticket
Analysis & Resolution
- Investigate and resolve security tickets raised through client monitoring systems and workflows.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of alerts and provide timely resolutions based on security standards.
2. Alert
Triage & Incident Handling
- Prioritize and categorize alerts according to severity and business impact.
- Maintain compliance with SOC and cybersecurity incident response frameworks.
3.
Documentation & Collaboration
- Document investigation steps, actions taken, and resolution outcomes in client ticketing systems.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, compliance, and application teams for seamless incident handling.
4. Playbook
Execution & Improvement
- Execute client-specific playbooks and refine them based on new threat patterns.
- Maintain clear shift handover notes to ensure uninterrupted SOC operations.
Required
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 1–3 years in a SOC or cybersecurity operations environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with SIEM tools (Microsoft Sentinel, LogRhythm), ticketing systems (ServiceNow), and endpoint security solutions (Defender, SentinelOne).
- Security Expertise: Knowledge of phishing detection, malware investigation, and account compromise analysis.
- Framework Awareness: Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and ITIL workflows.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, written, and communication skills.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
Preferred
Certifications:
- CompTIA Security+ / CEH / Microsoft SC-200
- ITIL Foundation certification (preferred for service workflow understanding)
Working
Hours:
- Rotational 16x5 shifts (Monday to Friday)
- On-call support during critical incidents when required
