Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation and maintenance of enterprise monitoring infrastructure.
  • Ensure continuous monitoring of critical business systems and IT services.
  • Administer enterprise monitoring tools including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
  • Monitor system performance, application uptime, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Create and maintain monitoring dashboards, reports, and real-time alerts.
  • Troubleshoot monitoring issues, identify root causes, and support incident response activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to define monitoring goals and conduct regular audits.
  • Document monitoring processes, system configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Stay updated with the latest IT infrastructure monitoring tools and cloud technologies to improve system performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Monitoring Technical Support Analyst or in a similar IT support role.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise monitoring platforms like BMC Helix, DataDog, AppDynamics, Splunk, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Linux, Windows, and cloud environments such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell, or Bash).
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, AWS, or Microsoft are a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
