Position Description

As a Software Engineer at CGI, you will be part of the application support and enhancement team responsible for maintaining Java-based systems. Your role will involve troubleshooting, performance optimization, and collaboration across departments to deliver seamless digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 support for Java-based applications in both production and non-production environments.
• Monitor application performance and system health using tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or equivalent.
• Troubleshoot incidents, handle service requests, and resolve application issues within agreed SLAs.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and testing teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Perform regular system health checks, log analysis, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Participate in release management, including deployment validation and rollback procedures.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for known issues, resolutions, and technical processes.
• Follow ITIL best practices in incident, problem, and change management.
• Support middleware components, integrations, and batch processing as needed.
