About the
Role
As
a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Johnson Controls, you will become part of the
Digital Solutions – OpenBlue Global Customer Support team, working with IoT and
data-driven automation technologies. The role involves providing first-level
technical support for the OpenBlue Enterprise Manager, a suite of smart
building applications designed to optimize energy efficiency, improve asset
performance, and enhance occupant comfort. You will collaborate with
cross-functional teams, analyze HVAC & BAS system data, and interact with
global customers to ensure seamless issue resolution through data analytics and
IoT insights.
Roles and
Responsibilities
- Understand and monitor data flow between Building Automation Systems (BAS) and the IoT platform to identify and resolve data inconsistencies.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot customer-reported issues while maintaining a high level of satisfaction.
- Document all customer interactions in a ticketing system, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to expedite issue resolution and system improvements.
- Analyze customer data trends and provide insights to support process optimization.
- Participate in training programs, workshops, and product learning sessions to enhance technical knowledge.
- Contribute to creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and knowledge base articles.
Required
Skills & Qualifications
- B.E / B.Tech in Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, or related field.
- 0–2 years of experience (Freshers can apply).
- Basic knowledge of IoT technologies, Python programming, Power BI for data visualization, and Postman for API testing.
- Understanding of thermodynamics principles and HVAC system operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and interest in emerging smart building technologies.
