About the Role

The Client Support Executive at HSBC plays a key role in providing premium client servicing and trade operations support for GTS clients. This role is part of the Client Servicing Team, responsible for ensuring end-to-end processing of transactions and maintaining high customer satisfaction levels. You will act as the primary point of contact for high-value corporate clients, ensuring seamless handling of trade-related transactions, proactive resolution of issues, and consistent communication to achieve customer delight. Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage trade transactions of premium and standard trade clients, ensuring smooth, end-to-end transaction completion.
  • Review documents, obtain internal approvals, and monitor deferrals to enable straight-through transaction processing.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints efficiently, providing accurate and timely resolutions.
  • Respond to customer calls/emails for trade-related enquiries, including payment instructions and fund confirmations.
  • Collaborate with Client Management, Sales, and Product Teams for effective coordination of client needs.
  • Assist in the preparation and verification of onboarding forms and trade documentation.
  • Track and resolve discrepancies related to export proceeds, overdue bills, and reconciliation issues.
  • Support digital adoption initiatives to enhance client experience and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain HSBC’s internal control and compliance standards, ensuring adherence to Group policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing and process improvement discussions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Higher qualification preferred).
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Basic understanding of trade finance operations or commercial banking processes is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools and familiarity with digital banking systems.
  • A proactive approach to resolving issues with attention to detail and accuracy.
