Roles and
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring backend services within cloud-based infrastructure environments
- Supporting, troubleshooting, and investigating issues and incidents by assisting developers and infrastructure teams through system metrics analysis, logs, traffic, configuration, and deployment changes as part of DevOps infrastructure support
- Supporting and enhancing monitoring and alerting systems by searching, testing, and deploying new functionality for existing tools
- Creating new features to automate troubleshooting and investigation processes
- Building new tools to improve overall support workflows
- Preparing reports and summarizing findings after investigations and incidents
Required
Skills & Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of work experience with similar responsibilities
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience working with the Linux (Ubuntu) command line and system administration
- Understanding of network protocols and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, UDP)
- Strong scripting capabilities using Bash and Python
- Critical thinking and effective problem-solving skills
- Understanding of containerization concepts (Docker, containers)
- Experience troubleshooting API-driven services
- Experience working with Kubernetes
- Experience using Git
- Background in release management processes
- English — professional written and verbal communication skills
Good to
have:
- Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana (Query language)
- Experience with Nginx/OpenResty
- Experience with telco protocols (Camel, Map, Diameter) is an advantage
- Software development and scripting skills
- Basic knowledge of Cassandra and PostgreSQL
- Experience using AWS cloud services (EC2, Redshift, S3, RDS, ELB/ALB, ElastiCache, Direct Connect, Route 53, Elastic IPs, etc.) aligned with cloud DevOps engineer responsibilities
- CI/CD: Jenkins
- Terraform
