The
Fraud Operations Team at Toast works to prevent fraud for Toast, their
customers, and their guests. The team is responsible for fraud prevention
across their Fintech suite, from access controls to transaction monitoring. As
a Fraud Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing customer accounts with
identified suspicious or unusual activity and determining if escalation or
reporting is necessary. They will be the front line in defending against fraud
and will be expected to provide high-quality operational feedback to the Fraud
and Risk Team and other stakeholders to improve Toast’s overall fraud program.

Roles and
Responsibilities:
- Monitor fraud queues to eliminate the fraud risk from customer accounts and ensure risky transactions are prevented.
- Conduct thorough investigations using internal tools to detect fraudulent activity.
- Review chargeback data to identify meaningful and fraudulent patterns.
- Deliver a best-in-class, truly delightful experience to Toast restaurants and prospects through successful communication (both written and verbal).
- Provide insights on fraud trends for different Toast fintech products.
- Discuss and work on escalations to provide the best solutions for customers.
- Suggest and implement improvements to existing fraud SOPs and methodologies.
- Provide insights to Data Analyst, Product, and Engineering Teams to improve existing fraud tools and procedures.
Required
Skills & Qualifications:
- Any graduate with 1 to 2 years of experience in an Analyst-level role in a Fraud and Risk environment;
- Curiosity and strong investigative skills, the ability to form a narrative around large sets of data, and the ability to identify fraud patterns/trends.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, changing environment and adapt while focusing on key goals and objectives with minimal oversight.
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be highly motivated and able to work within tight deadlines.
- Ability to work in flexible work environments and 24/7 shifts. Candidates must be flexible to work on weekends (Mandatory)
