The DB Associate Trainee within a business user environment and works directly with Milliman and/or technical staff in the design, analysis, transformation, mapping, loading, documentation, and reporting of Pension Plan related data elements during the System Development Lifecycle for Milliman’s defined benefit clients. The DB Associate Trainee works in a team environment within their department and with other Milliman teams, possibly across office locations, and will be involved in include new client implementations, ongoing client support and enhancements, expansion of services, and various other updates.

Responsibility:

  • System coding in Milliman’s pension calculation system
  • Read and understand specification documents and develop Business Requirement Document (BRD)
  • Calculate pension benefits
  • Database maintenance
  • Data edits and validations
  • Regression testing
  • Troubleshooting

Desired qualification and experience:

  • Tech/Graduate in Computer Science
  • Must possess good knowledge SQL and Advanced Excel
  • Good with at least 1 Object oriented Programming Language- Preferred
  • Proficiency with respect to all computer systems used in the performance of daily tasks.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to organize and work with detailed pension records
  • Ability to work in a team environment and individually
  • High integrity and discretion to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive client data
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
