Roles &
Responsibilities
As
a Junior IT Support Engineer at RTX, you will play a vital role in ensuring the
reliability of airport IT systems:
- Provide corrective and preventive maintenance for core systems including:
- CUPPS (Common Use Passenger Processing Systems)
- BRS (Baggage Reconciliation Systems)
- CUSS (Common Use Self Service)
- Monitor IT infrastructure components such as servers, LAN/WAN connectivity, and dashboards.
- Handle incident management, including real-time detection, troubleshooting, and resolution.
- Execute updates, configuration changes, and scheduled maintenance tasks.
- Maintain documentation for hardware/software, logs, and system inspections.
- Collaborate with Shift-in-Charge and Site Manager to meet service-level agreements.
- Support senior engineers in shift operations and gain mentorship in advanced systems.
Required
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, MCA, or MSc in Electronics/Computer Science OR Diploma in Electronics/Computer Hardware with 2–5 years of IT support experience.
- Strong knowledge of:
- CUPPS, BRS, CUSS
- Network administration & troubleshooting
- Server & hardware maintenance
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and diagnostics.
Preferred
Certifications:
- CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
- ITIL Foundation
- MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate)
Desired
Attributes:
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills under pressure.
- Strong communication and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently in rotating shifts (including weekends/holidays).
- Adherence to airport IT compliance standards and protocols.
