Roles and Responsibilities

As a Data Analyst at Tesco, you will:

• Identify operational improvements and provide solutions using CI tools and techniques.
• Manage tasks and transactions within agreed KPIs and deadlines.
• Work with market partners to understand business problems and convert them into analytical solutions.
• Manipulate, analyze, and synthesize large datasets ensuring accuracy and data quality.
• Develop dashboards, automate reports, and generate actionable insights.
• Write well-structured and optimized code for efficient computation.
• Support the development of reusable knowledge assets (GitHub/Wiki).
• Deliver practical insights that influence key business decisions.
• Ensure timely and high-quality completion of deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate degree.
• 1–2 years of experience preferred in analytics delivery in industries such as retail, telecom, CPG, hospitality, finance, or digital operations.
• Strong knowledge of Advanced Excel, SQL, Hive, and Data Warehousing concepts.
• Basic understanding of business decision-making and statistical methods (Correlation Analysis, Hypothesis Testing).
• Ability to create self-service dashboards and reports using Tableau.
• Experience with automation tools like Alteryx or Python is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
