Roles and Responsibilities

As a Site Reliability Engineer at Visa, you will:

• Perform daily reliability engineering tasks including maintenance, incident resolution, and application monitoring.
• Analyze debit authorization, API, and UI applications to identify potential problems and provide solutions.
• Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to improve scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
• Automate processes to reduce manual intervention and enhance operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot critical issues, participate in SWAT calls, and document resolutions.
• Support the integration of AI and machine learning in site reliability engineering to optimize applications.
• Work with the observability team on solutions such as anomaly detection, operations intelligence platform (OIP), and fault isolation tools (FIT).
• Participate in 24/7 on-call support rotations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E/B.Tech) in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 1–2 years of relevant work experience.
• Only 2023/2024 pass-outs are considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong coding skills in Java/.NET-based API and UI applications.
• Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting.
• Hands-on experience with databases (MSSQL, MongoDB) and Linux/Unix administration.
• Familiarity with networking, cloud fundamentals, and observability tools.
• Exposure to AI frameworks, middleware (Kafka, Hazelcast), big data (Hadoop), and Kubernetes.
• Experience in DevOps and Cloud Site Reliability Engineering is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
