About the Role

As a Business Analyst at Amazon, you will play a key role in developing data-driven analytical solutions that drive business insights, operational efficiency, and measurable impact. You will work on large-scale datasets, create automated reports and dashboards, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform raw data into actionable insights for decision-makers across the globe. From day one, you’ll work on designing data pipelines, monitoring performance, and implementing business intelligence tools that enhance visibility and reporting accuracy.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Work with large data sets to extract, transform, and analyze data using modern analytics tools.
• Build scalable data models, dashboards, and visualizations to support key business decisions.
• Translate complex data insights into clear, actionable recommendations for business stakeholders.
• Partner with product owners, engineers, and business leaders to identify and define analytical requirements.
• Optimize SQL queries and data pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Conduct deep-dive analysis to identify trends, root causes, and business opportunities.
• Present findings through reports and BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Amazon QuickSight.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• 1+ year of experience in tax, finance, or analytical roles.
• 2+ years of experience with Excel VBA macros, SQL, or ETL tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw insights from data.
• Experience in defining business requirements and using metrics to measure outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills to explain data insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling large-scale datasets and working with data visualization tools (QuickSight, Tableau, Power BI).
• Knowledge of data engineering concepts, business forecasting, or automation pipelines.
• Exposure to financial modeling or performance analytics within corporate environments.
