About the Role – Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst

As a Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst – Cloud, you’ll play a crucial role in managing Cloud Network Operations for AppDirect’s managed services customers across Azure and AWS environments. This role requires hands-on experience with network monitoring, incident management, and troubleshooting in enterprise Cloud environments.

The NOC Analyst will actively engage in incident response, change management, and Cloud connectivity issues across circuits and sites using technologies such as AVPN, MPLS, Multilink T1s, Ethernet, and Broadband. This position demands strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with flexibility to work in a 24x7x365 global operations team. Rotational shifts (including weekends and holidays) may apply.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage, triage, and resolve network, server, and Cloud (Azure/AWS) issues through monitoring and ticketing tools.
• Detect, analyze, and restore customer connectivity for network circuits, services, and servers.
• Remotely troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers from various vendors.
• Collaborate with carriers and third parties for service restoration.
• Participate in incident command, escalation bridges, and major issue resolutions.
• Utilize network monitoring tools (e.g., Logic Monitor) to diagnose performance issues.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure timely ticket management, proper documentation, and SLA adherence.
• Work independently and as part of a team to identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in remote network and server support within managed services environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP protocols and OSI model for network troubleshooting.
• Experience managing connectivity issues in Windows or Linux server environments.
• Strong knowledge of DNS, DHCP, SMTP, VPN, and related network protocols.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and packet capture tools.
• Understanding of encryption, authentication, IPSec, and VPN tunneling (GRE, SSL).
• Excellent verbal communication and technical documentation skills.
• Customer-oriented approach with problem-solving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in large enterprise or telecom Cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Cloud management tools such as CloudCheckr, orchestration platforms, etc.
• Certifications such as CCNA, Azure Fundamentals, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Network+, ITIL v4 preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience using ServiceNow and Logic Monitor for service operations.
