Ford’s Cyber Defense Center (CDC), part of the CETO organization, is dedicated to protecting Ford’s global digital assets through proactive and reactive cybersecurity measures. This role plays a critical part in integrating threat intelligence and automation to safeguard Ford’s enterprise technology infrastructure worldwide.

Position Details

Θ Position: Cyber Automation Analyst

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and implement Python-based SOAR orchestration to integrate data logs, events, and incident response actions.
• Create, enhance, and tune SIEM threat detections (both curated and custom).
• Partner with IT Operations teams for log source ingestion and parsing into SIEM and SOAR environments.
• Manage technical projects including upgrades and maintenance using the Agile framework.
• Support the Cyber Defense Center’s automation and threat analysis initiatives for continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Strong Python programming skills focused on REST APIs for data orchestration.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with SIEM tools (preferably Google Chronicle).
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
• Experience in fast-paced, high-pressure IT environments with strong attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of cyber threats, malware, and vulnerability management.

Preferred Requirements

• 2+ years of prior SOC (Security Operations Center) operational experience.
• Knowledge of Cloud Security, TCP/IP, and networking protocols.
• Familiarity with servers, clients, storage, and network technologies.
• Working knowledge of multiple operating systems (Windows, Mac, or Linux).
• Understanding of Ford’s computing infrastructure and application development lifecycle (SDM).
• High degree of initiative, integrity, and results orientation.
