About the Role

The SOC Analyst role is critical in Lenovo’s Cyber Security operations. You will be responsible for detecting and responding to cyber incidents in real time, analyzing logs, and ensuring security compliance. As a Technical Engineer – Cyber Security, you will handle SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and firewall log analysis, and collaborate with global teams to strengthen Lenovo’s cyber defense strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM and other advanced security platforms.
• Perform triage and escalate incidents based on severity.
• Resolve incidents following SOC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Propose and implement automation opportunities for incident response.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly SOC reports for stakeholders.
• Analyze logs from firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint devices to detect threats.
• Support change management, patch management, and configuration management.
• Implement security changes to strengthen infrastructure as per customer needs.
• Provide recommendations for process improvements and technical standards.
• Participate in customer/internal projects including cybersecurity transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with global SOC teams and maintain strong client communication.
• Document incident analysis and share knowledge with the security team.
• Maintain compliance with ITIL processes and cybersecurity best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Computer Science.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in SOC operations / Cybersecurity domain.
• Understanding of ITIL process and incident management lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, XDR, EDR, IDS/IPS tools.
• Security certifications like CompTIA Security+, CEH preferred.
• Knowledge of networking, malware analysis, and vulnerability management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication (written & verbal) and documentation abilities.
• Proactive approach with customer service orientation.
• Team player, adaptable to global work environments.
