Roles and
Responsibilities
As
a Cyber Threat & Device Monitoring Analyst (Tier 1), you will work as part
of PwC’s global Security Operations Center (SOC) team to ensure proactive
threat detection and response.
- Monitor and analyze alerts on a 24x7 rotational schedule.
- Triage, prioritize, and escalate incidents following defined SOC processes and runbooks.
- Receive and log client calls, create incident tickets, and route them to relevant teams.
- Collect contextual data for advanced investigation by Level 2 SOC analysts.
- Maintain access to all critical security and SIEM tools for incident response.
- Ensure compliance with security standards, SLAs, and escalation procedures.
- Develop and refine processes to strengthen the Security Operations Framework.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient incident response.
Required
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of Incident Management and Response.
- Experience working with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight, etc.).
- Knowledge of cyber-attack types, threat vectors, and risk management techniques.
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
- Understanding of security monitoring, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
- Excellent reporting, dashboard creation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage client expectations.
- Preferred Certifications: CISSP, GIAC, or SIEM-related certifications.
Preferred
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Security.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Information Technology or Cyber Security Operations.
