Roles and Responsibilities

As a Cyber Threat & Device Monitoring Analyst (Tier 1), you will work as part of PwC’s global Security Operations Center (SOC) team to ensure proactive threat detection and response.

• Monitor and analyze alerts on a 24x7 rotational schedule.
• Triage, prioritize, and escalate incidents following defined SOC processes and runbooks.
• Receive and log client calls, create incident tickets, and route them to relevant teams.
• Collect contextual data for advanced investigation by Level 2 SOC analysts.
• Maintain access to all critical security and SIEM tools for incident response.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, SLAs, and escalation procedures.
• Develop and refine processes to strengthen the Security Operations Framework.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient incident response.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Incident Management and Response.
• Experience working with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight, etc.).
• Knowledge of cyber-attack types, threat vectors, and risk management techniques.
• Familiarity with Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
• Understanding of security monitoring, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Excellent reporting, dashboard creation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage client expectations.
• Preferred Certifications: CISSP, GIAC, or SIEM-related certifications.

Preferred Educational Background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Security.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Information Technology or Cyber Security Operations.
