Role
Overview
As
a Technical Support Engineer, you’ll be responsible for providing exceptional
customer support and troubleshooting assistance for RSA products and
technologies. You’ll interact with clients via phone, email, and remote
sessions, ensuring timely and accurate technical issue resolution.
This
role is ideal for individuals who possess strong analytical skills, customer
empathy, and a passion for solving technical challenges in a fast-paced, global
IT environment.
Roles and
Responsibilities
- Serve as a remote customer advocate by collaborating closely with RSA’s technical field teams.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, clearly communicating progress and resolutions to customers.
- Conduct and participate in customer conference calls when required.
- Contribute to and maintain eServices content such as Knowledge Base and support forums.
- Escalate complex technical issues to specialized resources when necessary.
- Manage your personal queue of support cases, prioritizing based on customer needs.
- Support 24x7 operations including rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Continuously develop expertise in RSA product lines and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Apply system analysis techniques to troubleshoot hardware and software functionality.
- Create and update Knowledge Base articles for internal and external use.
Required
Skills & Qualifications
- Non-Technical Skills
- 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in customer or technical support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning abilities.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and a strong team player.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
- Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of Linux-based servers, network protocols, and web applications.
- Foundational knowledge of SQL and database management.
- Awareness of security fundamentals and API usage (hands-on experience is a plus).
- Ability to analyze and document technical issues systematically.
- Education: Bachelor’s
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Communications (or
equivalent field).
