Roles and Responsibilities

• Build a scalable, reliable, and high-performance big data workflow platform for data scientists, AI/ML engineers, and operations teams.
• Drive adoption of Freight’s unified data model across various product and analytics teams.
• Design and implement data integration frameworks and reusable components for efficiency.
• Enhance data quality and performance through automation and advanced monitoring.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to enable business intelligence and data-driven decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of related experience in data engineering or analytics

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or related fields
• 2+ years of hands-on software development experience
• Strong programming skills in Python or Java
• Experience with distributed systems and big data tools (Kafka, Flink, Hadoop, Hive, Cassandra, Presto)
• Hands-on expertise in ETL pipelines, data warehousing, and data modeling
• Practical experience building workflows using Spark, Presto, or Hive
• Solid understanding of NoSQL/SQL databases and modern data architecture
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong business acumen
