About the Role

The Financial Data Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing financial datasets, managing asset data, and supporting investment operations for CWAN’s global clients. As data experts, analysts provide valuable insights on asset classes, security master, reference data, corporate actions, cash flows, derivatives, and performance analytics to ensure data integrity and operational excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and accurately to internal and external queries.
• Design, develop, and evaluate data elements to maintain high data quality.
• Use both manual and automated tools to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Assess and validate third-party data vendor performance.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in data management and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with clients to create innovative data automation and analytics solutions.
• Maintain and update securities data in real-time to ensure reliability.
• Document workflows and process changes for internal reference.
• Execute basic SQL operations and enhance technical data skills.
• Validate investment data against external market sources.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to reference data system improvements and operational documentation.
• Develop knowledge in fixed income, equity, and corporate bond instruments.
• Ensure compliance with internal risk and control policies.
• Support cross-functional teams to enhance financial performance analysis and reporting.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in financial analysis or data management (Freshers can apply).
• Strong command of Advanced Excel and data visualization tools.
• Familiarity with Reference Data Management and related systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
