About the Role

The IT Security Analyst I will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities within the organization’s IT infrastructure. The role demands strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of vulnerability management tools, and hands-on experience in cybersecurity practices. This is a fast-paced position ideal for individuals passionate about cybersecurity careers, vulnerability management, and protecting digital assets from potential threats.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Identify and assess system vulnerabilities; coordinate with internal teams to implement security countermeasures.
• Monitor internal and external vulnerability scans and address potential threats.
• Triage and validate scanner findings, ensuring timely remediation and compliance tracking.
• Partner with compliance teams to align with audit and regulatory requirements.
• Generate reports and metrics to measure vulnerability management performance.
• Conduct system patching, maintenance, and regular application security checks.
• Assist in rapid response activities against emerging threats and zero-day exploits.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or Engineering.
• 0–2 years of experience in Vulnerability Management Operations.
• Working knowledge of tools such as Rapid7, Qualys, Burp Suite, and Nuclei.
• Familiarity with network devices (Cisco, Citrix, AIX) and OS platforms (Windows, RedHat, CentOS).
• Basic scripting knowledge in Python and Bash.
• Understanding of SQL queries and PCI DSS compliance.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in 24/5 rotational shifts.

Preferred Certifications (Optional but Advantageous)

• CRTP (Certified Red Team Professional)
• EJPT (eLearnSecurity Junior Penetration Tester)
• CompTIA Security+
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
