The Systems Risk & Controls team operates under the Global Finance Technology, BI & Innovation Department. The team collaborates with Internal Controls, Finance Technology teams, and Cyber Risk departments to ensure alignment with the Flutter governance framework and SOX compliance. Working between the first and second lines of defence, they help establish a strong control environment across the finance tech stack. Their responsibilities include IT controls implementation, assurance, remediation, transformation, and continuous monitoring for governance excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Core Responsibilities
• Support Finance Technical teams in generating control evidence and ensuring adherence to compliance requirements
• Conduct routine system reviews to perform control assurance for various Finance Systems
• Assist Senior Analysts during audit cycles, including evidence preparation, documentation, and follow-up actions
• Monitor ITGC (IT General Computing Controls) compliance across system operations
• Identify, track, and report control gaps, deviations, and risk exposures
• Contribute to process documentation, risk assessments, and control testing activities
• Collaborate across teams to support SOX readiness, IT control walkthroughs, remediation tracking, and compliance evidencing
• Participate in system transformation initiatives that improve automation, governance, and risk visibility
• Additional Responsibilities
• Assist in quarterly and annual audit activities by preparing high-quality audit evidence
• Work with cross-functional teams to support end-to-end control lifecycle activities
• Document findings, maintain reports, and ensure alignment with Flutter's risk management framework
• Support the enhancement of internal processes through risk-based insights and data-driven analysis
• Maintain dashboards, trackers, matrices, and compliance logs for audit and risk teams
• Ensure transparent communication with Finance, Internal Controls, and IT Security teams
• Contribute to special projects related to risk analytics, system transformation, and GRC improvements
• Support adherence to global policies, operational standards, and risk guidelines

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Highly organized with strong multitasking and prioritization abilities, due to multiple systems in scope
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Strong relationship-building skills within business teams
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in Internal Controls or IT Audit
• Solid understanding of SOX controls, ITGCs, design evaluation, monitoring, and assurance processes
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and technical capability
• Ability to work independently as a self-starter, with a proactive approach
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentations
• Ability to influence change across teams and collaborate effectively
• Strong team player mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes
