About the Role – Cloud Security Analyst at Ford

The Cloud Security Analyst will play a key role in enhancing and maintaining security standards within Ford’s public cloud infrastructure. The role involves identifying, evaluating, and implementing advanced cloud security solutions and tools for Google Cloud (GCP) and Microsoft Azure platforms. You will work closely with the Cloud Security and Enterprise teams to manage tools like GCP Security Command Center, Azure Security Compliance, GCP VPC Service Control, and Azure WAF / Cloud Armor, ensuring secure and compliant deployments.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Cloud Security teams to automate workflows and perform audits for cloud environments (VPC SC, DLP, Org Policy, etc.)
• Evaluate, test, and deploy security tools to address cloud security gaps
• Partner with Enterprise Platform Engineering Operations (EPEO) teams on remediation and compliance activities
• Document security processes, procedures, and playbooks
• Ensure alignment with Ford’s global cybersecurity best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Self-motivated, fast learner, and results-driven
• Experience in Agile project management tools (e.g., Rally)
• Strong documentation and process management capabilities

Desired Skills

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Chef, Tekton, OpenShift, or Cloud Build
• Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform
• Knowledge of automation scripting (Python, Go, Node.js, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular)
• Understanding of Git, GitHub, and GitHub Actions for version control
• In-depth knowledge of Azure and GCP cloud security frameworks
• Familiarity with GCP services: IAM, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Security Command Center, Cloud Armor, and Cloud DLP
• Familiarity with Azure services: VMs, Azure AD, Kubernetes, Containers, Storage Accounts, and Key Vaults
