Responsible for managing daily operations and workflows related to multiple client and Trading portfolios across the CIB business, delivering high-quality service to internal and external clients of BNP Paribas across CEP, Global Markets, and ALMT Operations as part of a KYC associate job in investment banking. Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may span across the following departments handling daily Transaction Processing Operations: CEP – KYC Operations, Client Referential, Client Services, OCRM, and AML transaction monitoring. GMO - Processing & Support including Trade Processing, DEC Operations, Clearing and Settlement Operations, Instrument Data Ops Referential, External Reconciliations, Asset Servicing & Tax, Inventory Management, Payments, Client Services, Post settlement reconciliation, Regulatory Reporting, and other transversal services.

Product Control activities including PNL and Valuations Control, Reconciliation & Control, Compression, OTC Documentation, Trading and Portfolio Controls, OTC, LD Trade Validation, and Securities Trade Validation & Documentation.

  • Maintain effective communication channels with peer groups.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and escalate unresolved issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and cross-training initiatives to share best practices and ideas.
  • Respond to client queries and Front Office inquiries efficiently.
  • Coordinate with the trading desk and relevant stakeholders to escalate any trade or booking discrepancies.
  • Perform daily trade and position reconciliation and analyze breaks identified in reconciliation reports to ensure appropriate control and risk assessment of outstanding breaks.
  • Validate trades in the booking systems accurately.
  • Execute standardized and specific controls as defined in the control plan and agreed schedules.
  • Prepare standardized and customized reports as required and within agreed timelines.
  • Contribute to transversal projects coordinated by Project teams.
  • Support the Risk Control framework including End-of-day Risk Limits, Intraday Risk Limits, and Trader Mandates.
  • Ensure daily end-of-day and intraday limit breaches and mandate breaches are reviewed, understood, escalated promptly as per global policy, and properly documented in daily, weekly, and monthly summary reports and dashboards.
  • Summarize and report outstanding issues to global V&RC management and coordinate resolution activities.
  • Validate official Economical P&L figures and related P&L explanations and investigate discrepancies with Front Office forecasts.
  • Participate in global and local projects and contribute to productivity improvements within the team by proposing initiatives.
  • Be accountable for the end-to-end transaction management lifecycle for assigned client coverage.
  • Work closely with technology and support teams to identify internal and external technology enhancement opportunities.
  • Perform due diligence on institutional clients covering all risk levels for SDD, CDD, and EDD files as part of an AML KYC analyst position.
  • Conduct required KYC screenings on customers and document client information in line with global KYC procedures.
  • Process reconciliation with clearing houses including trades, positions, premiums, initial margin, variation margin, fees, and related items for multiple Asian markets while supporting a financial services KYC associate role.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • University Graduate in Finance or Operations.
  • Knowledge of Capital Markets, Financial Instruments, and Investment Banking.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to manage high workloads, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with flexibility to work in shifts.
  • Results-oriented with a strong client focus.
