Expleo is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SOC Analyst (L1) to join their Security Operations Center in Chennai as part of SOC analyst jobs in Chennai. The selected candidate will be responsible for real-time monitoring of security events, performing initial triage, and escalating alerts according to defined procedures. The position is intended exclusively for fresh graduates who are interested in beginning their career in cybersecurity through entry level SOC analyst roles.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Monitor SIEM tools and SOC dashboards for security events and alerts.
• Perform initial alert analysis and triage to identify potential threats.
• Escalate incidents to L2/L3 SOC Analysts or the Incident Response Team as required.
• Document findings, evidence, and actions in the incident tracking system.
• Track and follow documented SOC procedures, runbooks, and playbooks.
• Assist in vulnerability assessment coordination and follow-up on remediation.
• Engage in basic threat intelligence and log correlation tasks.
• Work on 24/7 rotational shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled) with 2 days of off in a week..
• Minimum 3 days per week; full-time office presence may be required based on business needs associated with cybersecurity SOC analyst responsibilities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as: Malware, phishing, ransomware, DDoS, brute-force, lateral movement.
• Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP etc.).
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating system fundamentals.
• Exposure to SIEM platforms is a plus.
• Good communication and analytical skills.

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail and logical thinking.
• Ability to handle tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in rotating shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cybersecurity internship or project work experience.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, EC-Council CSA, etc.
• Understanding of frameworks and standards (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001) relevant to SIEM monitoring analyst duties.
