The Hub APMEA Graduate Trainee Program is designed to build a strong pipeline of young talent within the Hub, ensuring readiness to address evolving business needs while promoting diversity and inclusion. Through a structured 12-month training program, trainees will receive broad exposure to key functions, hands-on experience, and professional development opportunities aligned with a management trainee engineering program. By the conclusion of the program, participants will possess the skills, knowledge, and mindset needed to smoothly transition into the workforce and contribute effectively to organizational success.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Graduates will be rotated throughout the 12-month program across Hitachi Energy businesses and functions, with an optional overseas assignment at the end of the program supporting graduate trainee engineering roles.
  • The job assignment rotation every three months will provide graduates with coaching and development to accelerate functional and leadership competencies for future progression.
  • This high-visibility program will also deliver valuable learning opportunities, including leadership and mentoring programs, technical and product training, industry site exposure, and training on leading-edge technologies.
  • Graduates must demonstrate personal leadership, teamwork, and collaboration capabilities, along with initiative, self-confidence, and aspirations for future leadership roles.
  • His/her passion for professional conduct and delivery of excellent customer service will also be assessed. Due to the nature of the program, individuals must be willing and able to travel or relocate as required. This program is open to citizens or permanent residents of the respective country at the time of application.
  • Graduates will join a dynamic and challenging environment, gaining insight into company operations and exposure to PG’s senior management. If you meet the expectations outlined above and are enthusiastic about joining a progressive global organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Recent Engineering university graduates with strong academic performance (CGPA 3.0).
  • Internationally minded individuals with social and intercultural competence, a mature and balanced personality, team-oriented mindset, flexibility, and openness to new ideas.
  • Good communicators with persistence and drive.
  • Leadership skills combined with strategic and entrepreneurial capabilities, ambition, curiosity, broad interests, realistic career and life goals, openness to learning from different cultures, and willingness to gain experience across countries and changing environments.
  • The graduate who meets the selection standards above should also be realistic and eager to learn, appreciate the opportunity of a global network and diverse assignments, be prepared to work anywhere globally, understand that professional development depends on personal performance and attitude, and recognize that this program does not guarantee a management position.
  • Excellent language skills (fluency in English, with additional languages welcomed), supporting entry level management trainee jobs.
