Job Description:

Scope:

• Core responsibilities to include architecting, sprint planning, designing, and implementing (along with counterparts and distinguished Architects) rollout activities for a ground-up Azure SaaS solution, operating in a DevOps model aligned with CI/CD pipeline engineering.

Their current technical environment:

• Software: Java, Springboot, Gradle, GIT, Hibernate, Rest API, OAuth, Python, Powershell
• Application Architecture: Scalable, resilient, event-driven, secure multi-tenant microservices architecture
• Cloud Architecture: MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, HD insight, Application gateway, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD)
• Frameworks/Others: Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, NOSQL, RDBMS, Springboot, Gradle GIT, Ignite

What you’ll do:

• Consistently deliver strong quality in both design and implementation while helping the team shape what is built and how it is delivered, particularly by:
• Developing quality software (including effective test code) in accordance with clean code principles and Blue Yonder standards.
• Providing input for backlog issue prioritization and independently pulling tasks or supporting other team members as needed.
• Participating in team activities such as backlog grooming, planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Considering information security aspects while coding and reviewing others’ code.
• Identifying root causes of incidents and driving continuous improvement in a blameless manner.
• Striving to replace service requests with self-service functionality and automation.
• Understanding functional and technical requirements of software components.
• Actively providing feedback during code reviews.
• Onboarding new team members and supporting the development of junior engineers.
• Participating in team hiring activities.
• Reflecting on alignment between team vision and company vision.
• Demonstrating deep understanding of the team’s problem domain.
• Clearly understanding and communicating the impact of changes in team deliverables on other teams and customers while working within microservices DevOps architecture.

What they are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree (STEM preferred) with a minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering
• Exposure to cloud technologies and cloud delivery, including CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub
• Experience with generative AI models and understanding of machine learning algorithms
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders
• Nice-to-have development experience in any programming language
• Strong scripting background with shell and PowerShell as mandatory; Python is a plus
• Solid understanding of DevOps technologies
• Hands-on experience with container technologies and microservice architecture such as Kubernetes and Docker
• Eagerness to learn new technologies
