They are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated financial crime analyst to join their Financial Crime Operations Screening Team. This role plays a critical part in maintaining regulatory compliance by supporting customer and transaction screening, managing alerts, making risk-based decisions, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of UK and EU AML regulations and will be responsible for meeting internal policies and external regulatory expectations while contributing to financial crime analyst screening roles in a fast-paced environment. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Screen names, entities, and transactions against sanctions, PEP, internal watchlists, and adverse media lists as part of financial crime analyst jobs in Mumbai.
  • Investigate alerts, validate matches, clearly document decision rationale, make risk-based judgments, and escalate confirmed risks to Compliance/AML teams when required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete audit trails for all reviews and decisions.
  • Take ownership of quality control by reviewing assigned cases for accuracy and completeness, proactively addressing errors, and meeting internal QC benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with teams such as Transaction Monitoring, Complex Investigations, and CDD Onboarding to support risk assessments and ensure process alignment.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce false positives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • You have experience working in financial crime within a regulated environment such as payments, banking, or fintech, aligned with aml screening analyst roles.
  • You are detail-oriented and comfortable following structured processes while maintaining accuracy under time pressure.
  • You can effectively understand and manage priorities, ensuring critical tasks are completed without compromising quality.
  • You take ownership of your responsibilities, including quality control, and consistently aim to meet or exceed SLAs.
  • You are proactive and inquisitive, engaging with stakeholders across teams to enhance processes and strengthen fraud controls.
  • You communicate clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally, with internal teams and external partners.
