BP (British Petroleum), a global leader in energy & business support services, is hiring for the role of Junior AR Analyst in Pune. This role is ideal for graduates, finance professionals, and freshers looking to build a career in accounts receivable, corporate finance, and shared service operations.

The Accounts Receivable Junior Analyst will be accountable for timely and accurate recording of cash receipts, direct debit run, EFT/wire transfers, and reconciliation of invoices in the AR ledger. The role supports the collections team to ensure compliance with BP’s global accounting policies while maintaining exceptional customer service and operational excellence.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day AR processing: cheques, Direct Debit run, EFT/wire transfers, AR transactions
  • Review & process refund transactions, deductions, debit/credit notes
  • Ensure timely allocation of incoming payments and unapplied cash
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies with internal & external stakeholders
  • Handle ad-hoc queries, customer account monitoring, and compliance tasks
  • Support collections activities and collaborate across finance & sales teams
  • Review weekly and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in AR balances
  • Prepare documents for period-end close ensuring compliance with accounting standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or Accounting (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years of accounts receivable / cash application / customer service / data analytics experience
  • Prior shared service centre experience preferred
  • Knowledge of financial systems (SAP, AS400)
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and financial accounting skills
  • English proficiency (B2–C1 level)

  • Ability to manage complex situations while balancing customer and business focus
  • Adaptability to changing business requirements and deadlines
  • Ability to handle urgent financial issues with timely escalation

  • Experience in corporate finance, AR reconciliation, and business support operations
