Job Description – Procurement Analyst at Siemens Energy

The Procurement Analyst at the pre-bid stage plays a vital role in bid preparation, supplier evaluation, and cost analysis. You will be responsible for reviewing supplier quotes, conducting detailed techno-commercial evaluations, and assisting the Project Procurement Manager in making data-driven decisions. This role is a great fit for candidates who want to explore entry-level procurement analyst jobs in Pune while gaining expertise in supplier management, cost estimation, and procurement strategy.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed techno-commercial comparisons of vendor quotes.
• Prepare bid summaries and provide key insights to the Project Procurement Manager.
• Maintain supplier quote records, pricing benchmarks, and historical bid data.
• Review RFQ (Request for Quotation) requirements and ensure alignment with project specifications.
• Develop knowledge of commodities such as Motors, Gear Boxes, VSDs (Variable Speed Drives), Generators, Air Coolers, Valves, Pressure Vessels, Separators, and Couplings.
• Support ad-hoc requests related to pricing analysis, data history, and procurement insights.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
• Ability to interpret technical documents and prepare accurate comparisons.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Mechanical Engineering or related field).
• 2–4 years of procurement experience(Freshers with strong analytical skills may also apply).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of engineering specifications.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and deliver results.

Education & Experience

• Graduate / Post Graduate degree required.
• Candidates with engineering or supply chain background will be preferred.
