Job Description – Cyber Defense Analyst at Ford

As a Cyber Defense Analyst, you will be part of Ford’s Cyber Defense Center (CDC)within the Office of the CETO organization. The CDC mission is to protect Ford’s global digital assetsby providing proactive and reactive security services. In this role, you will work on integrating threat intelligence across SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and other security toolsto defend Ford’s IT ecosystem. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking for cyber security analyst jobs in Chennai 2025with a focus on cloud, networks, and modern attack defense strategies.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Python-based SOAR orchestrationfor log integration, event management, and incident response.
• Create, enhance, and fine-tune custom SIEM threat detections.
• Collaborate with IT operations teams for log source ingestion and parsinginto SIEM and SOAR environments.
• Manage technical projects for software upgrades and maintenanceusing the Agile framework.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degreein Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in Python programming(Rest APIs, automation, and data integration).
• 2+ years of experience with SIEM tools(preferably Google Chronicle).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of information security fundamentalsincluding malware, exploits, and vulnerability management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentwith attention to detail.

Preferred Requirements

• 2+ years of SOC operational experience.
• Solid understanding of cloud technologies, TCP/IP, and networking concepts.
• Hands-on knowledge of servers, operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac), and storage technologies.
• Familiarity with application development lifecycle (SDM).
• Strong initiative, integrity, and results-oriented mindset.

Education & Experience

• Graduate / Post Graduate degree in a computer-related discipline.
• Open to freshers with strong cybersecurity knowledge and professionals with 2–4 years of experience.
