Role
The
Associate NOC Engineer at MKS plays a crucial role in ensuring network reliability
and uptime. This position involves monitoring IT infrastructure and
applications, identifying incidents, performing first-level troubleshooting,
and escalating issues as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The selected
candidate will work in a 24/7 rotational shift to support global operations and

Roles and
Responsibilities
- Monitor alerts and events from IT infrastructure monitoring tools and dashboards.
- Validate and prioritize alerts based on severity and business impact.
- Perform first-level troubleshooting, including restarting services, clearing disk space, and reviewing logs.
- Record all activities and resolutions in the ticketing and ITSM system.
- Escalate unresolved incidents to Level 2 support teams with detailed notes.
- Follow documented SOPs for incident management and escalation.
- Ensure timely communication and ticket updates throughout the incident lifecycle.
- Work collaboratively with other IT teams to ensure smooth network operations and service continuity.
Required
Skills & Qualifications
- Basic understanding of Windows/Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds.
- Knowledge of ITSM tools and ITIL-based processes (especially Incident Management).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in 24x7 rotational shifts.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology / Computer Science.
- 0–4 years of experience in IT support, NOC operations, or infrastructure monitoring.
