About the Role: Cash Application Junior Specialist

As a Cash Application Junior Specialist at Philips, you’ll be part of the Accounting Operations Team, focusing on cash management, reconciliation, and accounts receivable functions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and finance leaders to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, supporting Philips’ global cash application processes.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Retrieve and process daily bank activity (ACH, wire, lockbox, credit card) and ERP receipt transactions.
• Post cash receipts and SAP coding of deductions as per customer remittance details.
• Review customer portals for remittance advice and update records accordingly.
• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in customer accounts.
• Manage unapplied cash reports and coordinate with the Collections team for resolution.
• Support internal finance leadership in cash management best practices.
• Contribute to Accounts Receivable (AR) lean process improvements.
• Provide indirect leadership and collaborate with global cash application teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (or equivalent professional qualification).
• 1–2 years of experience in cash application or AR processes preferred.
• Hands-on experience in SAP and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and spoken).
• Customer-oriented mindset with attention to accuracy.
• Ability to work flexible shifts (2 PM – 11 PM / 12 Noon – 9 PM).
• Prior experience in a high-volume accounting environment is an added advantage.
