Roles and Responsibilities

• Strategy: Understand and align with the organization’s business strategy and technology roadmap.

• Demonstrate strong software testing life cycle (STLC) knowledge.

• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and escalate testing-related risks or impediments proactively.
• Governance:
• Maintain communication with stakeholders throughout test planning, preparation, and execution.
• Generate and share daily status reports on test progress and defect metrics.
• Participate in project review meetings to present QA insights.
• Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Adhere to Standard Chartered’s values, ethics, and compliance standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Java, Selenium, Appium, Gherkin/Cucumber (BDD)
• API Testing using Postman, Rest Assured, or SoapUI
• Performance Testing using JMeter
• SQL / RDBMS for database validation
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for continuous integration.
• Proficiency in API automation, RESTful and SOAP API validation, and documentation using Swagger.
• Strong debugging and defect management skills.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and reporting skills.

Preferred Tools & Technologies

• Automation: Selenium, Appium, Cucumber (BDD), Rest Assured
• Languages: Java, Python
• Testing Tools: Postman, SoapUI, JMeter
• Version Control / DevOps: Azure DevOps
• Databases: SQL, Postgres
