Payroll Operations Specialists serve as an extension of the Toast Payroll
product by executing the daily banking, and payment processes fundamental to their
core payroll product. This will include the movement of funds as it relates to
customer payroll liabilities, as well as the troubleshooting and resolution of
any discrepancies that result from banking errors. Payroll Operations
Specialists also support the implementation and ongoing operations for many of
Toast’s partner enabled products. Payroll Operations Specialists work with
internal teams, third party partners, and clients to resolve customer inquiries
and execute these daily processes. Payroll Operations Specialists help maintain
customer happiness through the timely and accurate execution of these
processes. Payroll Operations Specialists are expected to work autonomously
under supervision of their Manager and must be able to self-manage and
self-prioritize their workload based on team and customer needs.

Roles and
Responsibilities:
- Complete Tier 1 Banking and Payment functions within departmental SLAs.
- These tasks will include processing ACH Reversals, Federal Trace Number Requests, Stop Payments, and the Return of Funds for failed transactions.
- Work with internal and external partners to resolve customer inquiries and banking/payment discrepancies.
- Communicate directly with customers to resolve banking and payment issues.
- Update and audit customer and employee benefits upon request.
- Additional responsibilities as capacity and needs dictate.
Required
Skills & Qualifications:
- 1-3 Years of experience in an operations or customer facing role.
- Proactive in nature, works to improve knowledge of core functions
- Excellent attention to detail and unwavering commitment accuracy
- Strong organization skills and time management skills
- Experience with banking, treasury management, or payroll is a plus
