About the Role – Finance & Accounting Associate

The Finance & Accounting Associate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions and cash application processes. You will handle daily accounts receivable operations, assist with reconciliations, and support month-end closing activities to ensure proper financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a solid understanding of financial accounting principles, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Process and allocate daily cash receipts to corresponding client accounts and invoices.
• Collaborate with the collections team to minimize unidentified receipts and pending items.
• Respond to billing and collection queries promptly and professionally.
• Conduct forensic analysis of aged items and open accounts to ensure proper closure.
• Perform month-end Bank to General Ledger (GL) reconciliations and ensure accurate reporting.
• Handle audit queries and provide necessary documentation.
• Participate in ad hoc tasks and support the Shared Services team as needed.
• Assist in risk assessments and manage provisions for doubtful debts or adjustments.
• Work on month-end closing activities and sub-ledger vs. GL reconciliations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Educational Qualifications
• Graduate / Post-Graduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (MBA - Finance preferred).
• 0–1 year of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or audit.
• Technical Skills
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word for financial data analysis.
• Experience with accounting analysis, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Ability to prepare accurate reports and maintain financial documentation.
• Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and related financial frameworks.
• Familiarity with ERP systems or automation tools will be an added advantage.
• Soft Skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
